No Sew Barbie Clothes
When I was a kid I used to LOVE to create doll clothes for my Barbies...they were no sew but they were not as good quality - mostly holes cut into fabric with string to keep the fabric in place made with old clothing.
Now that I am an adult I learned about no sew Barbie clothes such examples include using socks, which I have made a couple of outfits from, but I took it a step further. ;)
While I was grocery shopping today at Walmart, I went into the craft section specifically looking for no sew mending material...now previously I tried super glue but it didnt work as well...so that is why I went to check and found FABRIC GLUE! :D
Very excited because I KNOW fabric glue will work and DID when I made my very first doll dress and doll shorts. (dress pictured on the right, shorts pictured below left).
The BEST part is my daughter is at school and has no idea what I did today, so I am going to surprise her and bring her doll with me to pick her up so she can see what I have done.
Now it is best to use patterns (I didnt) but now I am googling some to use now. Better to use pattern so you have a fine cut and easier mend on the fabric and glue.
Why NO SEW? Im in the process of getting ready to move and have no space to drag out the sewing machine. Once I have my new home and space I will try sewing.
I hope during the winter I can learn to knit and crochet Barbie clothes. :D
The greatest thing about making your own doll clothes is you are only limited to your imagination of what you can create. Plus it saves you money on purchasing actual dolls and/or doll clothes (but we still like to do anyway). ;)
Now Ive never been crafty but I have done a couple of sewing classes but now its nice to know I can be crafty about SOMETHING. :D

Color Barbies Hair
As a kid, I also colored my Barbies hair with marker. So last night my daughter decided to color her Hannah Montana Doll and I colored mine as well...Because of the dolls hair I had colored when I was a kid she has and had seen.
It was really fun. We used Purple, PINK, orange, yellow, red, blue colors. Our dolls now have a rainbow of hair color.
idk if its washable, I really dont care if it is or isnt, because my next experiment will be bleaching hair on a test Barbie doll. The reason why I mention if washable or not because sometimes with tend to wash our Barbies hair with shampoo & conditioner or just rinsing it with water.
Anyway if you have a favorite Barbie doll that you play with, there is nothing wrong with coloring her hair just as you understand the results can be permanent. ;)

Did you ever Cut your Barbie's Hair?
I dont know what possesses us as young girls to want to cut our Barbie dolls beautiful hair when we are kids but thankfully there is a remedy once the damage is done.
This doll is my Sparkle Eyes Barbie, I cut her long luxurious hair and gorgeous bangs as a child.
I dont want to replace her with a new doll because this particular doll is MY doll and that I had had since I was a kid. It is also my daughters favorite doll as well after her Hannah Montana Doll.
So, back to my solution, you can go to Sally Beauty Supply or wherever else they sell hair extensions and sew in new hair into your dolls head. Now personally I aint good at that sort of thing so I would have someone else do it. I would go back to her original length too and probably a bright blond or may mix in pink strands as well to make her stand out.
Here is also another list based on my search:

My daughters Hannah Montana Doll is missing hair as well...so she will be getting hair extensions as well. Whats also great is there is no maintenance because well her hair will never grow like a humans! :D
Hope this helps!
